Black Fruit Studios is an independent, one-person studio built around a love of games and the craft of making them. I bring creative curiosity and an engineering mindset to every project, building worlds I’m excited to share and experiences worth getting lost in.
I’m Max, the developer behind Black Fruit Studios. My background in competitive gaming, engineering, and robotics shapes how I approach game design. With over a decade of Unreal Engine experience, I focus on gameplay systems, optimization, and the creative direction that gives each project its character.
Our games are shaped by attention to detail, thoughtful systems, and a love of playing. From the response of a single action to the way mechanics work together, the small things deserve care. That means testing, tweaking, and revisiting ideas until they feel right—not just until they work. The goal is to turn passion into games that feel good to play, reward curiosity, and give players reasons to come back.
Unreal Engine is the foundation, but the craft is in how everything comes together: responsive gameplay, connected systems, a clear visual identity, and careful optimization. My engineering background informs how I build and refine those systems; my experience as a player keeps the focus on how they feel. I’m also willing to build proprietary tools and technology when existing solutions fall short. The aim is to reduce repetitive work, scale production, and give a one-person studio more room for creative ambition. Prototyping, iteration, and player feedback keep that technology focused on what matters: the game.

01 / Cooking × lane strategy
Match villager orders to earn gold, then turn your next recipe into Temaki, Maki or Nigiri troops. Cooking and lane battles share one screen, so every moment at the counter competes with the action outside.
02 / Cooking × lane strategy
Choose your chef and ingredients, unlock characters and decorations, and make the kitchen your own. Standard and Rush Hour modes offer three difficulty levels, with 100 achievements to work toward.
03 / Cooking × lane strategy
Take on the AI across 20 Japanese-inspired maps, from lantern-lit canals and snowy markets to city streets, sunny beaches and a moonlit Halloween cemetery festival.
